Intelagard’s HM-DS (High Mobility Decontamination System) is a Humvee/tactical trailer mounted decontamination system that provides a tactical platform system to optimize the power and maneuverability of the Military’s High-Mobility vehicles. This powerful system incorporates an 80-foot (24 m) hose reel, front and rear-mounted terrain decontamination capabilities, and a roof-mounted monitor for equipment and infrastructure decontamination operations.
The terrain decontamination systems can be operated from inside the cab, and the monitor includes both joystick remote operations in cab, as well as wireless remote capabilities for an operator up to 500-feet (152 m) from the vehicle. The system is configured for draft refill from bulk storage containers, and has been tested for deployment of DF200 solution, 10% High-Test Hypochlorite (HTH) and 10% Super- Tropical Bleach (STB) solution, in addition to water, seawater, soapy water and fire fighting foams. The HM-DS is a large-scale Compressed Air Foam (CAF) system capable of dispersing powerful decontamination formulations as well as standard fire suppression foams and hazmat remediation solutions.
Powered by a diesel / JP8 fueled air compressor, the HM-DS provides compressed air for multiple field applications. The HM-DS allows operational decontamination teams to create a “clean zone" with the ground spray applicators as they decontaminate exteriors using the monitor. The standard hose reel can be used for building interiors and for thorough vehicle and equipment decontamination missions. The undercarriage wand is ideal for cleaning the undersides of combat vehicles, and the calibrated foam expansion optimizes the use of DF200 formulation. The Intelagard HM-DS is a powerful and versatile system for both operational and thorough decon operations.
